The Review

The Puttanesca Pasta from The Merrywell is a very appealing dish. The aroma coming from the dish reminds me of a freshly baked wood fired pizza, the sauce has a very mild spice which is not that overwhelming. The pasta is well cooked and adds to the warmth of the dish, eating this makes you feel like you are a small italian boy coming home to your mum's cooking after a long day. The olives contrasts the very fresh taste of the rest of the dish, its saltiness bringing an excellent overrall taste.

The pasta looks extremely appetising, the light brown bowl giving the dish a cosy feeling as if you were coming home to this nice warm meal. There is no abundance of any specific ingredient and the herbs give a good contrast to the rest of the pasta.

The food took a while to arrive and the staff was friendly enough.

It costs $25 not including gst and service charge and for the portion size is quite small.

The Merrywell is comfortable enough.
